The name “Silver Shore” reflects the quiet beauty of light and nature coming together—like sunlight shimmering along the shoreline. It represents the inspiration behind the studio, where garden beauty, photography, and handcrafted art meet.
I believe the most meaningful photographs aren’t perfectly posed. They are the small, fleeting moments that reveal who we truly are—a soft laugh between loved ones, the way light falls across a face, the feeling of being fully present with the people who matter most. Using natural light, I love capturing these honest glimpses into each person’s story of love, connection, and life.
My path to photography has been an unusual one. I hold a PhD in Geographic Information Science with a minor in Computer Art, where I studied spatial analysis, information retrieval, data mining, ontology, machine learning, commercial photography, Photoshop, Illustration, 3D architectural design, and web design. Science taught me to see patterns and structure; art taught me to see emotion, color, and form. Photography became the place where these worlds meet—a creative craft where observation, artistry, and storytelling come together to preserve meaningful moments.
Outside of photography, I am inspired by many forms of creativity. I enjoy playing musical instruments and exploring different kinds of handmade craft. These quiet, hands-on moments shape the way I see light, texture, and beauty in everyday life. To me, photography is more than creating images—it is a way of honoring the fleeting moments of life and preserving a feeling so it can be remembered and shared for years to come.
During the COVID pandemic, our family moved from New York City to the suburbs of New Jersey. As a mother of two young children, life shifted in many ways. Around that time, my younger child was diagnosed with asthma, and I made the difficult decision to step away from my previous career to focus on caring for my family.
Although this transition was unexpected, it also became a turning point in my life. Working from home allowed me to slow down and spend more time outdoors. I began building a garden from the ground up, gradually growing more than 120 varieties of roses, dozens of hydrangeas, peonies, iris, herbs, and thousands of seasonal bulbs.
Over time, the garden became my creative studio. The colors and textures of the flowers inspired my photography, while their natural beauty and scents inspired my handmade soaps. I began creating soaps using ingredients such as goat milk, shea butter, and essential oils, designing each piece like a small sculpture inspired by nature.

At Silver Shore Photography, I capture life’s most meaningful moments through photography, using natural light to reveal authentic stories of love, connection, and everyday beauty. Each photograph is a blending artistry, emotion, and careful observation to preserve memories that last a lifetime.

The studio is the home of the craft store, where handmade art, gardening-inspired projects, and other creative delights come to life. It’s a place to explore, create, and find inspiration, whether you’re looking to craft something with your own hands or bring a piece of beauty into your home.
